[Note the number of Congressmen who attended the hearing. Congressman Frank is the chairman, to his left is the Democratic caucus for the House Finacial Services Committee; nobody is present.]
Towards the middle of the segment below the Fed representative, Scott Alverez states, "monetary policy... has to be as free as posible from political consideration." To you and me, Mr. Alverez is saying the policy of values is not a our (public) concern. Huh! Its funny to think, for thousands of years people have bartered, traded, established political, monetary and cooperative agreements only to be brought into submission by the Fed. Daily independent (code word for "secret") desicions of the few, part time government employees with corporate and political interests, are to be trusted with our money.
Members of the Fed prove by their vary actions they are motivated by political interest. The Fed is a tool and motivator descined in secrete by Woodrow Wilson and several bankers with national interests to usurp the authority of the U.S. Congress. Friends this is a social pang decigned to undermind the very liberties you value.
YOU ARE THE GOVERNMENT and YOU have the right to know what is going on. Fight for this bill and similar legislation. I urge you even if you do not believe their are political motivations behind what the Fed is doing to fight to know what the Fed is doing and how they are doing it. Consider the Fed as a stranger you have met on the road, you have given them your wallet, and you have given them the right to tell you how much money you have. That is a lot of power. They can make your dollar bill worth a dollar or two cents without your knowledge, without Congress' knowledge, without the GAO's knowledge.
Scary.
